Rental terms

Please read these conditions before renting day or season equipment from Holdener Sport.

Day rental

  1. Rental is possible only on presentation of valid original identification. Digital copies on mobile phones are not accepted.
  2. The rental price is based on the rental period, not the period of actual use.
  3. Unfavourable weather or circumstances outside Holdener Sport’s control do not entitle the customer to cancellation or credit.
  4. The renter is liable for lost, stolen or grossly negligently damaged equipment.
  5. Personal information supplied during booking is used for professional binding adjustment, which must not be changed independently.
  6. No refund is provided when equipment is returned early.
  7. Return by 10:00 the following morning is free. A further day is charged for later returns.
  8. A CHF 15 administration fee is charged for reservations that are not collected without notice.
  9. Half-day prices apply from 13:15 Monday–Saturday and from 13:30 on Sundays and public holidays.
  10. For rentals of two or more days, every rental day is charged in full.

Season rental

  1. A valid original ID is required. Digital copies on mobile phones are not accepted.
  2. Season rental lasts until the end of April. Equipment should be returned by then.
  3. Equipment can be rented for the season only from 1 October until no later than 6 January and while stocks last. After that, only day rental is available.
  4. We do not accept reservations for season-rental equipment.
  5. The renter is liable for lost, stolen or grossly negligently damaged equipment.
  6. Personal information supplied during booking is used for professional binding adjustment, which must not be changed independently.
  7. No refund is provided when equipment is returned early.
  8. Weather or circumstances outside Holdener Sport’s control do not entitle the customer to cancellation or credit.
  9. During the May and June company holidays, equipment may be left behind the shop only after prior agreement by email.
  10. A CHF 60 surcharge applies from the end of June.
  11. Equipment not returned by the end of July is charged as a purchase without exception.
  12. Customers who repeatedly return equipment substantially late may be excluded from future rentals.
  13. Rental equipment must be returned clean and orderly. Mud, animal hair, straw and similar dirt must be removed from the inner boots.
  14. A CHF 10 fee per pair applies to extremely dirty returned equipment.
